Mohsen Veysi is a multidisciplinary artist, art historian, and educator with over a decade of experience teaching art history and studio arts internationally. He holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, along with degrees from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence and the University of Cincinnati. His studio practice revolves around the dynamic interplay between visual and verbal elements, seamlessly blending image and text while bridging the realms of artist and poet to explore the intersection of visual art, language, and transcultural identity. His research focuses on the history of drawing, text-image relationships, drawing and poetry, Persian art and calligraphy, global art history, neuroaesthetics, neuroarthistory, and the historiography of Alois Riegl.
